In Life, to do something meaningful, you have to follow certain Not to Do rules. As we start the
new year, let’s see how to make life happy and purposeful by not doing certain things.

1. Don’t over Eat – Modern Food Delivery apps are designed to make you lazy, eat more, at
wrong timings and make you spend more. So, avoid this avoidable temptation to save your
health and more expenditure. Instead, just think, if you could feed an underprivileged child or
student by just donating small portion of this avoidable expenditure. Feed a child, who is hungry.
There are many in your neighborhood, who need your help or charity. Just visualize, how happy
and satisfied you feel with this small gesture of charity to feed someone, who needs it most.

2. Don’t drown in to Phone -The modern tech devices like mobile and internet are lifelines, if
used well. But using them beyond the required levels can be harmful health wise,
psychologically and socially. There are ample reports to show the adverse effects of using the
mobile phone for longer periods and getting immersed in to the social media. Instead of wishing
someone a happy birthday or send a congratulatory message all the time, take some time off to
meet an orphan or underprivileged children in an orphanage or an NGO in your neighborhood
and wish them happy birthday, spend some time with them or teach them a skill. How wonderful
it feels to enliven someone’s neglected life.

3. Don’t splurge to Impress – Just think before you spend money on luxuries and avoidable
expenses. Don’t get swayed with advertisements and offers, which encourage consumerism and
false prestige. Follow financial discipline from the childhood and develop the habit of saving.
The younger you start saving, the higher you gain when aged. So, plan and allocate your finances
in a wise manner and consult a professional, if required. Understand and use different tax saving
methods. Giving charity or donations is one of the noblest and meaningful methods.

4. Don’t waste Time – Don’t waste time on unproductive activities like excessive watching of
TV and movies, social media, avoidable talks/gossips. Instead spend quality time with your
family, friends, which enhances your physical and mental wellbeing. Plan to spend some time for
the social causes in the neighborhood. Also, plan to spend some time with underprivileged
children in the local orphanages or NGOs. It makes your life complete and meaningful.

their better life, please send a message or call YuvaLok, a nonprofit NGO. Please call phone No. +91 9845228544
